A Good Deed. Indeed.

Meet Sofia.

Sofia is a 1976 450 sl. And she is now ours. Here's how she came to be with us: i had a client form a long time ago whose son went to NYU and had a roommate. After graduation, his roommate (let's call him Seth) decided to take the path less traveled and leave Wall Street to pursue something more creative: his dream of classic autos in his home state of North Carolina. So... my ex client (who is now retired) called me and told me about this very nice and very passionate young man, and asked me to speak with him and give some advice about starting and running a business.
So long of the short, i ended up writing his business plan, designing his website and logo and in general spending some time helping him focus his goals and vision. Truth be told it was a JOY to help another entrepreneur and i LOVED doing it! During one of our conversations he asked me about "the one that got away". I told him about my old 1966 silver and red Pagoda and how i still thought about that car every once in a while. I really did not think anything more about it. Anyway, i worked with him for about a month and told him to keep in touch and wished him the very best.
-About a week later he dropped me an email and asked if i liked the package he sent me. As i was traveling i had no idea what he was talking about. When i returned the following week, there was a message for me telling me to come next door to Frank, my mechanics place (-nice to have your garage literally a block away :)
-and there she was. With a note of thanks from Seth. As the saying goes: clean, clear and legal.
As he noted there were several things about the '66 that i liked and several that i did not. so, he combined those and found this beautiful one owner '76. -A decade wiser.
Had every single thing since new. including the window sticker and original customer plate. :) Truly a one-owner by a Dr. and his wife and spent her entire life in the Carolinas.

And she arrived with a hardtop as well. -Gotta remove those door guards from the over cautious Dr...
hmmm i will probably do some mods... stay tuned.

Just goes to prove: follow your heart -and do what you love.
Welcome Sofia, glad to have you as part of our family.

drive happy!
